QuoteReplyTopic: extensions course in uk..?? Posted: October 18 2005 at 5:55pm
hi, would love to do a hair extension course in the uk does anyone know where i can do this and roughly how much it will cost..?? or if there is anywhere that i can just do like a crash course in uk???
You could try this website http://www.imagesforhairextensions.co.uk/ I know someone who has recently trained with these and they came to her home and trained her on a 1-2-1 basis. I think the course is £695 + VAT. Included in this price is the kit. You can check it out for details. Also after training it looks like you get free advertising as they have a list of people who have been trained and my friend is on there. Not bad I suppose.
I know that Cinderella is doing a training course on 31st October in Manchester at the Training Academy and there course is a special offer at £395 + VAT that also includes the kit and for two people to train. They als train every Monday in London. (I think you could probably get it for that price in London)

No my friend is not a hairdresser she is just interested in hair extensions. She has been busy ever since and has had lots of clients. One of her clients was that impressed with her work that she was telling one of the staff in a sunbed shop and the sunbed shop offered my friend a room in the sunbed shop for a nominal fee and she has been recommended to lots of different customers.
The Cinderella training should be £795.00 plus VAt normally but somehow have it at a special price. The telephone number is 020 8965 3777. The other training systems that where at the Professional Beauty show where Hair Extension 2000 they have a website called www.smginternational.co.uk. There training is different prices if your interested in this the telephone number is 0870-241-0768.
Hope this helps

hi nicey i would suggest you do some sort of hairdressing training first to get to know a little more about hair. its ok to be able to install the extensions but if they require any trimming off or a few layers or a certain style then without any hairdressing training you may be stuck! any problems that arise can be better solved with that little extra knowledge! a little extra knowledge makes you that little bit more competent.if you were to set up in business you may not be able to get the right insurance either. both amanda and myself have hairdressing training under our belts and it is a BIG benefit.

good on ya nicey, i know we make it look so easy to do but it takes a lot of practice and experience to be a good extensionist. i have seen so many adverts on ebay from people setting up as extensionists who have had no real training and experience but are charging the same price as proficient extensionists. to be a good extensionist you need to know a lot more than just how to install them, every clients hair is different and every clients needs are different.knowledge is POWER!! god i sound like my dad!!!

I'd take your NVQ 1 to give you a basic knowledge chick, they run courses for that at Worksop college in an evening so you could do that and keep your day job and see if you like it x
nice one! wheres the course chick? who is running it?is it a reputable company thats training you? i can check it out for you using my contacts just so youre not getting ripped off or anything. I`d hate for you to waste your money.
