I had a full head of profibre hair extensions a couple of years ago and they lasted ten weeks.  I found them quite easy to look after although to the end of the ten weeks they started to look a bit dead at the ends.

I would not have them again though as I find human hair more easy to manage

I could only ever used heated rollers.  I never put any heat near it not even a hair dryer apart from the heated rollers and they made a beautiful curl which lasted for days on end.

oh bubblefizz....there have been some absolutely beautiful monofiber installs by some of the gals on this board.  Do a seach for plastikhaar and you will find several GREAT installs by some of our long time veteran posters. Also, Ive done a thermal fiber install with Wawa hair with a full review from install to removal in this thread:

This was my 50mm PH install last spring - it was actually a combo of PlastikHaar & ProHair (a monofibre). Frankly I absolutely *LOVE* wearing the synthetic hair - but my problem is that my own hair is so nasty that I *must* style it to make it match the synthetic, and I just kept on FRYING the synthetic!!!  I had pretty good luck with it - it lasted a good 9 weeks; after that it started to get yucky.

I also had a 28mm install but that stuff got nasty REALLY fast. It became very brillo-like.

Prohair fibre is by Prostyles www.prostyles.com and has good reviews but its alot more expensive then PlastikHaar which is equally as good.

Synthetic hair is not for everyone, i for one prefer human hair and thermofibre. Thermofibre is a really good fibre that doesnt tangle and looks and feels just like human hair and you can even use your straighteners on it up to 180 degrees.  You can get it here www.Hair-Heaven.com

Yes definately Amanda however if you over-do it on the heated irons it does waste the ends and theres no fixing the hair then.  Pm me your add and i'll send you the other piece i have spare.

the nice thing about the thermal fiber is that after you curl it, it holds the curl through washing. I've only used Wawa thermal but I assume all thermals would be like that. I only curled the hair 3 times in the month that I wore wawa....I loved getting out of the shower every morning with my hair curly and ready to go!

The question I have about the AD thermofiber is if it stays soft? The wawa looked great, and felt great at first but after a few washings I just couldnt get the softness back, no matter what I tried. It never felt like straw, never got frizzy or nasty looking in any way, but was just too synthetic feeling for me. And maybe it was just that I didnt figure out the formula for keeping it soft.....so I wonder if all themal is the same in this regard or if it was just the particular brand???

Amanda - yes it blow dries very straight and doesn't go really big like human hair.

Sherrie- The hair always stays very soft (when i dont fry it with the straighteners, lol) and tangle free.  I actually have 1 more piece left if you would like me to send you it to try for yourself.  The colour is 613, 18", just pm me your address to and i'll get it straight off to you.

Shelly
