I love the Chrissy V method and have used it on many clients. It is pricey, but worth it. I would not use any other wefting bonding adhesive on my clients. I have used it on several clients (more than 50) without problems.
It stays in the hair very well if you use the 'sandwich' technique as described in her video. Her video also shows a really good way to keep the edges from lifting. Most of my clients wear it in their hair for 8-10 weeks, without slippage of lifting.
It is easy to remove too.
The only thing is to make sure your client is not allergic to latex, since this is a latex based bond.
I think that it would be difficult to use the correct installation method, as shown in the video tape, on yourself, and hence maybe that's why it wouldn't work for a DIYer. Get a friend to help you.
