I know a number of you are wearing wefts with pro-tac.  I have been wearing it for a week now and so far, I'm pretty happy with it.  The hold is more secure than LG, but I can't keep in the bottom weft in the back.  It's slid twice already.  Right now, I have it anchored with shrinkies (which are pretty much holding the entire thing in).  I also found that the top row was too visible, so I cut a strip of pro-tac length-wise, sandwiched the weft in the thinner strip, then anchored it with shrinkies.  It's totally invisible within an inch of my part, and I have very thin and fine hair!

Anyway, I was just wondering how the rest of you are doing with your pro-tac and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for that bottom row.

I'm at about a week and a half and have had no slippage - I washed my hair and blowed it dry right before install, and I've been washing every other day and blowing dry immediately afterward...I did install another row in back (so now I have 3 rows), I think I put it up a bit too high - next time, the highest that I'll put it is the roundest part of the back of my head...when I installed, I cut off about half of the side of the tape that folds over on top...that worked really well, as it doesn't stick down as much (and I've had no hold issues with any of them)...it also makes a ponytail look much better because it all looks the same thickness...the hair is growing a bit which means that its not taped directly onto my head like it was at first...I think that will get even better as time goes on...

I'm able to put into a low ponytail, but not a high one...

My only problem is that I installed the lowest strip in the back too wide, so on one side the tape is sticking out just a bit, which you cant tell when my hair is down, but if its in a ponytail, you can tell a bit (or should I say, I just pull down a bit more hair and then it is covered)...

I think I'm going to use more next time, I was so nervous that it would be obvious...but it really is completely invisible because the hair on top gets hair stuck directly down on it...I am really pleased...

and I just got the sample ring, so now I know even better colors:)

PS-My elite remy is awesome...I've used conditioner (just on the ends)...and I even sleep with my hair down, and I've had no problem with tangles or shedding

I am going on week 5, and all is holding well.  I am hoping to squeek out 2 more weeks before I have to re-install.

I have not had any slipping problems with any wefts, except a 2 inch wide strip that I put on my left side, close to my part, I re-installed that once, but I think it is because I am always playing with it.

For the bottom row, maybe you need to put it up a little higher next time, maybe just below your ears, mine is placed about even with the middle of my ears, so I have a good 1 1/2-2" of hair below it.

On my very top row, I did not "sandwich" the weft as I was afaid that the tape would be visiable, I just cut the pro-tac in half down the fold line and put it on that way, it has moved down just alittle bit, but I believe it is due to hair growth, but it is holding just great!!

I love this stuff!!!  So easy to put in and remove!!
