That is gorgeous...OH MY GOSH!!! My next install I'm going longer, and I want to go wavier also...
I was asking about coloring the indian hair...does it damage it in any way? And, would you recommend that I take it to a stylist, or could I do it myself (like going to Sally's and getting something)...you obviously know how to do it, and you do it yourself...I wanta start coloring it myself...it takes a lot to spend $150 every 6 weeks for half a head of highlights...
I really want to try the hair with more body...indian looks perfect for what I want, but I dont want to mess up beautiful hair trying to color it a lighter color (though its a #18 at the lightest - not too too light)...
This is a Pro-Tac and microshrink install. Here's how I did the highlight placement...
I wanted just a few little pops of blonde in the copper so I colored just a small section of weft and snipped the pieces and placed them where I wanted on the Pro-Tac.
There's maybe 5oz of hair in and that's it. Indian gives a lot more bang for the buck so a little goes a long way. Even after coloring, this weft is going to last for a long time. The more it's washed - the softer and better it gets.
I'll upload some more photos including a before pic when I have no extensions in. Eek!
The Going Blonde Message Board has tons of advice on coloring. Click on "The Blond Board" link on the left. A quick register with Network 54 and you can get in. Rick the Chemist's advice is invaluable.
Amm, what colors did you use??? I never thought to add highlights that way. I know that Sherrie said that she has used shrinkies to add highlights to her wefts before she LG's them in. But this looks so much easier, all in one step!!!
looks great!!!

Amm,
just beautiful, beautiful, beautifull!!! I really don't know
which one to order now. I am guessing you have the supreme curl
in but how did you get it tame and soft looking? I might just go
with your natural body if the supreme takes a lot to control. If
I send you a hairsample can you match the shade for me? Let me
know what you did so I can order.
The texture of the hair changed a bit with bleaching but the real smoothness here is coming from blow drying and using Textureline Spiral Down Creme. I put the hair up in warm velvet rollers until they cooled and it smoothed everything right out. Even with the Pro-Tac, I can pull the hair back with a big clip right where the bonds are.
Here's some more photos.
First is without any extensions in and doing some color matching. My natural hair is way gross.
Second is air dry and scrunching with Oomf Booster by Fudge. You can see the hair still has a solid wave/curl to it. I like to wear it like that most often...very big, wild, messy and bed-heady. Fingercomb and go.
Anyways, what is the difference between the the Elite Remy and the Elite Remy Indian? Is there any? Could you show a close up picture of the wefts, what the difference between a hand tied and a regular?
Also, what color are you using, a #14?
I love both looks!!!

Thanks again! This was an indian weft There's some lighter streaks but mainly I colored it to about a #10, #12, #14 depending on what color ring you have. I used bleach and toner. :)
