Please
someone help me!

I know it said not to use on hightlighted hair- but I did anyways.
I put a semi permantet hair color on my hair last night, and I hate it. I have highlighted my hair in the past anf was bored growing the old color out. I opted for semi permanent in a red brown color. Now it turned the highlighted parts orangey, and the rest is BRIGHT red. It looks terrible. I tried using a clarifyhing shapoo but is not shifting. I live in the UK.
I have callede 2 hairdressersa and all they want to do is have me come in for another color! All I want is it out!!

thank you if any one can help!

I wish I could get my hair to stay red!!! They say red fade really fast!! Which has been true on my hair. You may try waiting it out 2 weeks and then try another color.

Try using something a little harsher to fade it. It won't come completely out, most likely, but try clothes detergent or liquid dish soap. Wash and rinse several times. Just make sure you do a deep conditioning after you're done!

Good luck! You'll be really lucky to get a desireable result. If this doesn't give you something you can live with you may have to strip it and re-color.

I washed it again last night with pantene clarifying- a little more red came out but it is still shocking. I have a feeling this wont come out in 25 washes like it said. Im not sure about putting clothes detergent in my hair, lol. I once put a few drops of fabric softener in it and it ruined it!

about red fading- I used to be ared head and had the same trouble. I have used sallys beauty supply haircolor in the past and this helped alot. I also used a silicone or light wax on my finished style- this really brings back the color and shine. I got tired of the red fading so much I just stopped using permanet color- and used semis instead- you color your hair about as often either way but less damage.

the best conditioner for red hair is frizz eaze miraculous recovery finshing cream. HTH angie

I would recommend dish soap, too.

To keep red in the hair, maybe try Procolor Red Attitude Shampoo.  When I had strawberry blonde hair, I used the Procolor Copper Elements once a week and it kept the color from fading to an ugly orange.

Probably not the best advice, but this is me here :-P .  And if it were me, I'd just put some brown over to tone it down to a bit more auburn-y.  *shrugs*  But emergency brown has been my standard answer to everything, so. . .
More awesome than a manatee!
