QuoteReplyTopic: Oiling Hair with Apricot Kernel Oil Posted: February 14 2006 at 4:17pm
Hello all!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I really enjoy using Apricot Kernel Oil. I have straight fine hair about 5 inches past my shoulder. I put Apricot Kernel Oil on my hair before I wash it and then after I wash it and it's wet I put a bit more on. My hair is so soft after I use it. I used to use Jojoba oil and it worked pretty well but tended to make my hair feel a little stiff at times. Also, Apricot Kernel is far less expensive than Jojoba oil!
Hope this helps the fined haired out there. (and perhaps everyone else!)

I've just discovered Amla oil is a miracle product for my curly hair! Which is great as it is hideoulsy cheap. I was using coconut oil from an afro range until recently but it was nothing like as good (and more expensive).
You've got me wondering whether different oils are better for different hair types.
What does everyone else use, and have you found different oils work better than others?

I have rather thick, coarse hair, and it prefers jojoba over coconut,
because it's heavier. Then again, I have a friend who has lovely locks
that prefer coconut over jojoba.
As fate would have it, my business is all about you.
My hair is fine too, but I'd never before heard of Apricot Kernel
oil. On occasion when I do oil, my hair prefers Jojoba.
Coconut and EVO were horrible on my hair.
Apricot kernel oil is supposed to be lighter than jojoba, by popular opinion... I would guess that it would work for anyone who has good experiences with jojoba.
