After dying it three too many times I suppose....after the last time i dyed it it started to fall out.

Its been about 2.5 weeks now.  I run my fingers through my hair and strands and strands come out.  It's from the root too.  It is also easily pulled out from my scalp.  I've used different "treatments" on it.  Little packets from Sallys....trying something now as we speak.

I can already see a difference in the thickness of my hair.  Please someone who knows, help me.

Courtney

 Hi.

I pray for you and everyone dealing with some kind of hair loss!

I've been on Depakote for 5 years from 1995 till 2000, and my hair thinned out quite a bit. So I can empathasie I hope with you!

Take Heart, I love all hair on all people, I try not to judge, because that's so unfair, and not Christian, and I'm a Christian, who is a work in progress, so I'll pray for all of You!!!

In the mean time, do things which make you happy, and then your hair won't be such an issue, I know it's easier said than done, please know that I'm sincere, and I do pray for You and others, In Christ, Bless You, Amen.:)

God Bless,...
Katie

Try protein treatments, avoid applying heat, and if you can wear a style that is pinned up, you don't want to add wind dryness and tangles to your over processed hair. Also you might want to try a hot oil pre-poo treament.

When I dyed my hair white I lost a lot more of it than usual too.  This was not a big issue for me because I have a lot of hair, so losing so much just made my hair look thinner, but no thinner than normal thinnish hair. If its making your hair noticeably too thin, you may want to gradually move to a color that is less different from your natural color to help minimize this (It doesn't have to be that big a change if you really like your hair dyed, just for example if you've been going light blonde, try to only go medium blonde).

I coloured my whole hair each time 3x with about 6 weeks between treatments, after the 3rd time LOADS of hair came out, my sink was full of it. Unfortunately this hair breakage was also hiding my hair loss, after a while I noticed the hairs had a bulb and it got thinner and I have some very thin patches. I went to the doctor who ordered blood tests and it came back that I was iron deficient (not anemic) I started taking iron supplements and the hair loss halved in 2 months. I am now waiting for the regrowth cycle. Its unusual for hair colours to cause actual loss from the scalp, although it can break off at the scalp. Just be sure you know what is causing your hair loss. Good luck
