I've been examining my hair for new growth a nd theres a lot in the crown area and only a tiny bit in the front and back in some areas. My crown area is very moisterized but the front and back of my hair just drinks up all oil I put on it. The tiny bit of hair that did grow in the front and back came in really really dry.....what am I doing wrong? I moisterize with castor oil EVERY DAY!

Try using the castor oil as a pre-poo/dry ends treatment and moisturize your hair daily with a liter oil such as pomace b olive oil, palm oil or coconut oil. I also agree with cmesweet- mist your hair with a homemade spritz(glycerin, water, liquid aloe vera (or aloe juice) and eo) or you can use carefree curl instant moisturizer in the yellow bottle with the red letters.
You may also need to add a little honey to your conditioners that you cowash with as well as your deep conditioners. (i also add glycerin, aloe vera to mine because i have hard water)
Also quick question- which conditioners are you using to cowash with?
Saloncare conditioners and CureCare Conditioners from Sally's are great. As are the Saloncare Shampoos.
Hope this helps a little

That sounds kinda like my current ng...for some reason the very top of my head has the most ng? I don't use a liquid castor oil the one I use is cold-pressed organic so the one your using may be mixed with something else or dilluted with something?? You might want to check out the castor oil your using. But the other girls advise is right on...I would also recomend using a leave-in con daily ex: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch. Apply it in sections to your hair and seal it with oil (Coconut oil, shea butter)
