Please bear with me all! I jus dont know what I want. You know how some have the veryyyy light blonde hair, with a few black highlights throughout and black at the ends? Kinda like Christina Aguilera use to have? Well the salon said they could do this for $45 & ^....Would it look ok though? Does anyone have pictures of something like this?

Check this out

It's the first thing I found, and I think black looks great with light blonde hair, especially on layers underneath.  Good luck with your decision!

Also this

I like the fringe idea.  I think black under-layers will produce the black tips naturally if you have your hair layered throughout...if you know what I mean.  All you'll need is the very back of your hair and highlights or flashes throughout in black and it'll give you the tips.

Christina probably had red & black extensions during that time, but I'm sure you could do a similar look.  Just get a razor cut with your layers to show off the underlayer.  A blunt cut just won't do it justice in my opinion.  Or you could consider black lowlights starting from the middle part of your hair...just a thought

i used to have hair like that and i LOVED it. i was already really blond, so i just have them take a section of my hair underneath and do it black, and then i had them cut the blond top layers about an inch shorter then the black, which gave the black tips effect. it was awesome. just know if u go black, in order to go back blond, to match all the hair the same, ur going to have to strip ur hair. and its very damanging. i am all blond now, but its worth the experience. its fun and a great look. good luck
