QuoteReplyTopic: ProTac Question..... Posted: April 06 2006 at 1:24pm
Hey everyone!
I got my protac and am anxious to try it out!! My natural hair is really fine and thin. I normally wear shrinki***and have to be careful how far up I can go before they start becoming visable.
So, I was curious, do you think I will be able to install the protacs further up then I would be able to install the shrink*** or will I have to same problem??

i could place the protac a little higher than i did microrings, my hair is thin/fine/blonde....so its easy to see through, but the weft and protac is MUCH less visible than microrings for me

With my fine, thin dark hair I found that Protac and microrings could be
placed higher than shrinkies. The shrinkies are fat round little things that
tend to stick out, while the microrings and Protac lie very flat. I also find
that Protac and microrings are much easier to install and remove. I had a
real problem with getting the shrinkies into and out of my hair, and gave
myself some nasty burns in the process as well.
I use the Protac all the way up to the top of my head. I first cut it in half the long way before I do my placement, getting two strips instead of one. The protac doesn't show that way through my dark brown hair. The tape does show through if you don't cut it I found.

YEah, I agree with elvira, cut the tapes up so they are smaller height wise,
so you can just fit one weft with very little extra space, and you can get
the pretty high up.
I still use clips for the very top layer, because all you can see is the track
of the weft, which usually you can't even see that because it is so high up.
This works the best for me.
