Well this Pro-tac is too weak for my hair, it slides out like after a cuple of days.  Also i get SOOOOO paranoid that they will just slide out, and i notice that they start to slide out after a cuple of days

Soh im going back Liquid Gold!:D They last me good 3,4 weeks O.o Also in a cuple of weeks i am going to stockholm in sweden to do some shopping and visit Sofo and a cuple of Art Galleries, Party like hell!:D So i need hair, and Bonds that can be pulled, washed fast without much care....O.o

Any Tips for on how to make Liquid Gold Last as long as possible? Shampoo and conditioner Recomnedations? oh and btw ive become a raven haired freak again! Have a lookse :

Here i have cut the bangs a bit and poofed up and back combed, sorry for the crappy picture quality...

I love Moff the Goth! I think it is the best of all your very cool looks.

I've just started experimenting with LG myself. I was hesitant about
LG because I'd heard it showed through white in dark hair. I've been
struggling with so many different methods to keep the top wefts in
securely without being so visible. LG was last on my list, but
after using it a few days ago, I think I'm a LG convert!

I'm still using Protac for the lower wefts (fortunately the lower ones
will stay securely for at least six weeks.) For my last install I put one
single weft at the very top of all the others, very close to my part,
attached on one side only with LG, and not sandwiched over the top.
This is right on top of the top Protac'd wefts, with only a tiny line of
LG on the underside of the microbonded part of the weft. I'm
surprised and thrilled that these suckers haven't moved in five days!

I went to the LG website and read that your hair needs to be squeaky
clean with no conditioner when applying wefts with LG. Heat helps
the bond to strengthen. I pushed the weft into my hair and held it for
a minute, then zapped it with a very hot blow dryer for another
minute or two. I didn't pull on the hair for a few hours and have
been careful not to get conditioner on the bonds. With the LG only on
the underside of the top weft, it is almost completely invisible. Even
when the hair gets blown away from the weft, all that is visible is a
tiny dark line that looks more like a part than an extension. These
wefts with LG are laying very flat and snug against my head.

The website says they'll last 3-5 times longer than other methods, so
if the Protac tapes last a few days for you, you should probably get
at least a week or two of wear from the LG. I tried removing a test
weft and it popped right out with some acetone on a cotton ball.
Good luck to you and let us know how it goes. You might check out
the LG website as well. (The link is in the 101 section, above.)

I thought I'd give you the link to the LG site. There is a lot of
information there. There is a funny thing I read as well. The site
warns extensionists not to do LG extension installations where the
client can watch in the mirror, because if the client saw how easy it is
to do they would want to do it themself causing the extensionist to
lose business! That made me realize how special the pros are on this
board in that they are so supportive and helpful for us DIYers.

Poor Moffpoff.

Got a question for you. Do you have very soft water where you live? I'm wondering if maybe that's the root of your problem with the Protac sliding out. I'm having that very same issue right now with the Protac-d wefts coming out in one day.

I just moved to a new house which has a water softener (which I HATE and is coming out)and my hair has been a disaster - limp, no body, and now my Protacs are not staying in. It must be the water cuz everything else is the same - shampoo, color, everything.

So maybe that's your problem as well - soft water making your hair like a slick spaghetti noodle.

Kristie M- great info on the LG.

Hi MoffPoff,

I'm not sure how you are installing them right now, but I had the same problem the first time I used ProTac.  I tried a few things that helped.  Before an install I wash my hair twice with clarifying shampoo, then apply a third round of clarifying shampoo, lather it up, and let it sit about 10 minutes.  Rinse, no conditioner, and blow dry on high heat.  Then I apply, press like crazy, and don't wash for at least 3 days.   I have hair that doesn't like to hold anything, but this has helped.

Aaawh You guys! thank you so much for all you advise!!:D

I checked out the Lg site and now have loads of ideas;) im going to do a full install and closest to my part , i will do individuals with lg xD

Also , ive ordered some hair from Hair Sisters for like 3 weeks ago and it still has not arrievd, any one got any experiance with them?

And yes Syren, Norway has some of the cleanest water in the world O.o so that may also make them slip. Such a shame tough, its SOO easy to Install with protac...

   Haair peace<3

Im Really pushing this install to its limits, i partyed Reaaal Hard yesterday (yes on a thuesday O.o) and im having a party at my place tonigth:D Soh the hair is getting constantly styled, poofed and well damaged O.o The back does not need to be backcombed any more.  The Weekend before 1 may always rocks! (norwegian holiday)

Hugs to all<3

Hey Moff,

I have never tried doing individuals with LG, but I have heard from a few people that it doesn't hold.  Just wanted to pass that along.

Hey Moff! I've discovered a great way to hide those wefts with LG.
You just put the weft (a single weft rather than two or three) closest
to the part, with LG on only the underside of the weft, right along the
top of the weft. It lays perfectlly flat and is invisible under even just
a little bit of hair. I've had mine attached this way for over a week
now and they haven't budged one little bit. As long as the LG is
under the weft, it doesn't show at all. Even when my fine pathetic
hair gets windblown, you really don't notice that tiny line of weft at
all.

Heey Kristie yeah kinda sandwiching them , for my top wefts with protac i use small amouts of latex bonding glue on the top of the weft to blend the hair better over, but umh i think it will look so much better with Lg<3 thanks honey^^

BirdOfEden ive actually tryed it once, but i only had them in  like a day or two cuz i was going to colour my hair^^  So im just going to se how they Hold up:D <3  Im so freaking stubborn i just have to try it o.o
