i use this curl activator but i dont know what i should be doing so that my hair doesn't puff up after i use it because i want to be able to wear it out and curly. Any advice on how to define the curls would be appreciated. Ive tried plopping, different hair gels and mousses, and maybe they would work if i did something else but im lost here. help please!!

if you're relaxed, nothing can enhance your curls cos you dont have curls since your hair has been straightened. you might want to do a braidout or twist out or something like that.
if you're a natural, can you let us know your washing routine and what products and gels you've tried to use?

What type of hair do you have....natural, relaxed, curly, kinky, wavy? Just trying to get a mental picture. I use Elucence as a leave-in and I also like Pantene's Hydrating Curls leave-in (can't remember the exact name). Both define my curls very well. For gels I use Fantasia IC.

you put your hair in braids or cornrows. you can add gel, hair spray, mousse or nothing. you can do it on dry or wet hair. after a fe hours (usually 1 day for me), you take it out and dont comb it
