QuoteReplyTopic: Blonde or brunette hair more *stunning*?? Posted: May 25 2006 at 12:43am
Hi guys
Would you say long blonde hair or long brunette hair is more stunning?
Im all ready to go long blonde, but i cant help but think that some long haired brunettes look equally as stunning as blondes. I love Sherrie's hair but i also think Kalika's is equally as gorgeous.
Brunette would be less maintenance, but ive always thought that blondes get more attention
Any thoughts??

I'm a hardcore brunette and proud to be, but I still think blonde hair is hypnotically beautiful.
Kalika has been a bombshell blonde in her day. At the moment she's working a sultry brunette thing but believe me, as a blonde, she was just as killer. In her case, it's less about the color and more about the girl.

i think it depends on your coloring/complexion....sometimes i think women with light hair look anemic
i also love the dark hair/light eyes combo......or sometimes if someone with darker hair just has face-framing highlights in the summer. there is that softwear/website somewhere that you can insert a pic of your face and try different colors on to see what you like.
I am 1/2 native American and 1/2 Norwegian and my natural hair color is a light brown and I have extremely light blue eyes and dark skin. I went really blonde and got tons of compliments and I went really dark (a mixture of a 1b and 2) and I got way more compliments as a blonde!
my natural hair color is a level 5 when i wore it dark i liked it
as a blonde for about three yrs now- going lighter and lighter- i LOVE it , i get way more attention and people say they love it this color-
just preference.
get a wig and wear if for a few days, see what kind of response u get and mostly how u like it- cause that what matters most!
Bringing beauty, one head at a time...

I'm Scandinavian/German, naturally a brown-eyed dark blonde. In earlier years of my life when I was tan, I looked really striking with my hair almost white blonde with light ashy highlights. I'm 6" tall so was the classic tall, tan California blonde. When I stopped tanning, I began to look washed out so switched to the pale skinned, dark-haired exotic look which suits my personality more. I definitely got more attention (particularly from ethnic men) as a blonde. However, the love of my life these last 15 years wouldn't have given me a second look had I been blonde. He's never dated a blonde woman or one with a tan because he just isn't attracted to those looks at all. Pale-skinned brunette is the only look he's interested in. I got really lucky when I met him--I'd only just changed my look a few months before!

I agree with everyone, what hair colors look good on a person depends on their skin coloring. My hair is naturally dark and I am more comfortable and feel 'sexier' with it dark. I tried going blond and I only kept it that way for 1 day before I dyed it back. It looked horrible and it just wasn't my personality. Blond is as much a personality as a color too....
It depends on the girl more then the hair. Ive been every friggin color under the sun, lol, and I get MUCH more attention with black hair then I did as platinum blonde. At the same time though, I am also extremely pale and have grey eyes, so black on me looks more dramatic and exotic.

I personally think brunette is awesome! I have brown hair that is
in pretty pristine condition...virgin hair and it's just at my
shoulders and I get compliments wherever I go. I think there's
just "something" about long brown hair that's in good condition, it
looks like silk.
a lady i work with has super thick wavy waist length (real) auburn hair......people are always commenting to her that so many women spend a fortune to get her hair color, i love her hair.....i've been coloring my hair blonde since i was 14 and i've had it done darker a couple of times (once not on purpose, one intentional) and it just didnt suit me....in fact, people at work didnt respond with 'what did you do to your hair?' they said 'are you feeling ok, you look ill'.....so blonde is best for me, but on other people i love any hair color as long as its thick healthy shiny hair!
I have also been all hair colors and I think blonde hair received 100 times more attention. It was almost uncomfortable. You walk in a store and you have tons of men staring at you. I feel more anonymous as a brunette. I still get attention but men dont run into walls trying to get a second look at you . My best friend recently dyed her blonde hair brown and after a week is already dying it back blonde because she misses the attention so much. The thing is the damage from all the bleach. Its hard to keep a nice looking head of blonde hair and the maintenance is crazy dying every 3-4 weeks if you are naturally dark.

Yeah, I believe that. I wore a frosted blonde wig along with the whole Texas gal getup - denim skirt, cowboy boots - a couple of times back in the day and it was amazing the attention - some goober followed me through the airport, not to mention the idiots who crane their necks and practically crash their cars to look at you while driving! It's pretty funny. I actually felt silly and didn't find it all that fun; plus, I looked completely differently at the men who behaved like that - what is your problem?!
Interesting sociological experiment!
To be honest, I look at girls with beautiful blonde hair also, but without the obvious oogle factor, because it IS so compelling to look at!
BLONE BLONDE BLONDE BLONDE!!! im naturally brunette but i absolutely love being blonde!! i bleach mine almost white around the front but keep my natural brown colour at the back and sides so as not to trash all my hair!! ive been every colour there is but i always usually end up going back to blonde!!

I am have naturally almost black hair, green eye's, and pale skin, I have had blonde, brown, red and every combo of the three. I hated the red, When I had brown hair everyone always thought I looked older than I am, with blonde hair no one ever thinks I am even close to my age (33), and I am talking about strangers not family members trying to complement me. most people guess that i'm 25-28 and they always think my 15 yr old son is my brother. I guess that more than anything it's about the way you feel with blonde or brown hair, I feel plain and boring with brown hair, and sexy and young with blonde hair, my family, especially my husband, love's my hair blonde, so the bleach is here to stay. My mother is the oppsite, everyone thought she was much older with blonde hair, and she is now colored black and she get's complements all the time on her hair, but do keep in mind that her hair is thinning and when blonde it was see thru and with it black it looks much much much thicker than it is.
