QuoteReplyTopic: My first extensions, with pics!! Posted: June 07 2006 at 6:41pm
I've just had my hair done, using the strand by stand fusion
method and european hair.
Here are my before and after shots.
Although the lady who put them in for me, went through all the aftercare tips
and showed me ways of creating different looks like curling it using my GHD's,
I am still very worried about my ability to style all this new hair and look
after it properly. It’s all a bit over-whelming! So any tips would be great.
Thank you for your comments!! I am really pleased, i've always wanted long, thick hair since I was a little girl, it still seems unreal that those pictures are actually me!!
As I said before, I still don't know what i'm gonna do with all this hair though... ideas?
Mainly being able to style it to make it look nice and not looking like extensions. I'm particularly worried about the bonds being exposed, as my hair is so thin and fine I swear they must show.
Do you think it would be alright to wash every other day? I get a rather greasy scalp.
When she curled it, it looked absolutley fantastic, but really bad the next day, all the curls had dropped out and it was just a messy wave that hung in the extensions, but I wasn't sure whether to brush it and re-curl bits, which I find really hard to do anyway, or just try to fix with my fingers.
Also, with brushing, I am supposed to only brush twice a day, but if it looks messy, I just can't help it. And can you buy small versions of the special brushes, that might fit in handbags?
I feel really bad about ringing her up and hassling her all the time, even though she did tell me not to hesitate to ring. And I probably want to know things she has already told me, I have such a bad memory.
Thanks xx

Yes, the lady who did my hair, used that to create the boho curls from my picture, but I can't seem to get the effect myself!! I've just straightened it today, its still looks nice, maybe I will try curling again in a couple of days.
I will try and get one of those brushes though, they look really handy.
Thank you Amanda x
