I stretched my hair out 1month after having a relaxer and put braids in. I have had the braids in for 2mon so I am stretching a total of 4mon now. My question is should I get a relaxer after I take my braids outs before getting my braids redone? I was thinking of not relaxing and just going ahead and puttin in braids for another 2mon. I wasn't sure if this is a good idea because of the potential for breakage between the new growth and the old relaxed hair. TIA

You should check out this website http://www.growafrohairlong.com/. I personally wouldn't advise you to get a relaxer. But read the website to see what advice they have for you. I hope this helps a little. http://www.growafrohairlong.com/demarcation.html

Girl don't be scured!  I have 5 full inches of new growth right now and about 12 inches of relaxed hair!  I don't have breakage, actually my hair is at it's healthest.  MOISTURE IS THE KEY.  Keep your braids sprayed daily with a mixture of better braid spray and infusium 23. You'll be fine.  I just took out my braids (only after a month) and I hardly had any shedding.  I'll post pics of the blow out that I "plan" on doing this weekend.
