Installing hairlocs on fine hair

Can someone please tell me if hairlocs can be installed at the top of the head (near the part) on fine hair? or will they show through?

they should be installed at least a inch away from all part lines for normal density hair, and further away for fine/thin hair.  Otherwise they will show through.
