History:
Hair was bleached and lifted about 2-3 levels. I did not like the color "it looked orange-redish".
I asked stylist to get it to a light brown. My hair is naturally
dark brown level 3, and its was the first time it was color.
He put a semi-permanent "5-0" on my hair....and it looks almost black.... darker then my natural color.
After 2 shampoos is still dark but it looks like it faded just a tiny
bit. Also when i get on the sun it looks a bit brassy-redish more
towards the roots.
My question is....
Can I use a toner with a semi-premanent color (maybe lever 5 or 6 ) i want light brown without the red-brass colors.
Please help and give me intructions on how to do it...
so far i have spend Lots of $$ and the 2 colorist i saw...have not
achieved my goals...even when i took pictures and showed them what i
was looking for.
Also iwant to have the front part of my hair (bangs) honey blonde.
please this time around I am going to DIY. I just want the experience
people here to instruct me on how to. I am pretty good at
following instructions.
Hey... I don't have answers to your questions, but I just wanna give you some support by saying hang in there! I too am trying to get the toner outta my hair. I've read a few posts saying that prell shampoo helps fade hair... might wanna try that out, don't know if it works on toner or not.
I do know it takes more then just 2 shampoos for the toner to fade. I used what I read on here call ApHOGEE treatment for damaged hair, and then the conditioner for after it (got it at Sally's)... it helped bring my hair back to life, not soo frizzy and I think it drained out some of that toner.. not all but the most that Ive seen come out!! I myself am going to try the prell shampoo b/c the brassyness from the toner is rediculas.
I wish you luck!!!

I hear protein conditioners will make your hair color fade. You'd be getting TWICE the benefit with one of those. Faded color AND good conditioning!
The "funny" thing is when we LOVE our color it fades fast but when we hate it, it doesn't fade fast enough!
I don't know what to recommend but sure you can use a toner on your hair. Somewhere on this board there is a special page with instructions. Keep looking around.
