While I was searching for info about pretipping, I ran across a post that mentioned you could use Gorilla Glue for pretipping. Has anyone done this and does it work well? I'm only pretipping for microlinks so they won't be subjected to heat from a fusion wand.

Ha ha...yes it is a very strong glue that can be used on many different materials (wood, concrete, metal, fabric etc.) I'm sure it's not made from gorillas - that would be awful!
do a search here, Im sure that glue was talked about for pretipping. Seems like I remember people saying the glue swells, so you would have to be careful to just use a tiny amount....but I dont remember how well it performed.
I have used gorilla glue when I make a weft off of the six-eight inches that I usually cut off from the length of the weft because it is way too long for me uncut. It will hold up better than any glue you can find, BUT if you get too much, and it does swell to almost twice the size or bigger of the line you start with, then you end up with a much too stiff end ( I mean stiff or so hard it has absolutely no give)to use as a skinless weft. It also has to be held between say plastic sheets after you have made a razor sharp edge of the ends of the hair because it takes several hours just to become real tacky, and 24 hours to totally cure. Now remember I am talking about using it to make a no weft piece to install. But when its all said and done, you can use it with LG to apply the weft with, and it is totally waterproof. Same thing with the tips. Its all in the amount you use.
