I'm new to wefts so I've tried to find posts that address this issue without any luck: When using hadtied wefts, which from what I understand cannot be cut, what do you do with overhang? I mean, say its 12 inches around your head from temple to temple and the weft is 15 inches? Or if the weft is shorted than the length needed, the head being 12 inches and the weft being 10 inches? Thank you!
i have a couple of rows in the back that i just double over and have a double wefted row......for my side pieces, i cut the handtied wefts, and seal the cut end with a drop of nail glue (applied IMMEDIATELY after i snip the weft)....i havent had any problem with them unraveling at all, and i've been using hand tied wefts this way since march

If you need the weft wider you can put them end to end and sew with a zig zag stitch on a sewing machine. I haven't tried this but you can probably over lap the wefts with nail glue (just a few drops is plenty) to get the width you want. Most of the micro wefts are not actual hand tied hair anyway. With custom hand tied hair you must measure first with a tape measurer for the exact width you want to order.
