She's now sporting the longest locks I recall her wearing. She has grown her own hair now for a few years, which at times, I quite like. In one interview I had read with her stylist Andre(?), I recall my surprise at his comment that they don't use extensions on her, that the hair is all her own. She certainlly has had time enough to reach this new length, but I'm not convinced that some of this hair isn't a purchase....

A great hairstyle is not something I associate with Oprah. Her hairstyle looks ok.

Oprah always claimed she didn't wear wigs or extensions or weaves. Maybe she should consider that after debuting this boring look.

In her show this past week about looking 20 years younger she told the audience that she didn't want to make the commitment to the 20 years younger program which required exercise, diet, sleep and extensive skin and hair care. 

Oprah said she was too busy and stressed right now trying to close down the last season of the Oprah show and get OWN (her new TV network) going and so she said she made the conscious decision not to get involved with the rest of her "ultimate viewers".

I could see her going with the shorter bob because it was easier to take care of.  She also once made a veiled reference to Keratin treatments and relaxers so I wouldn't be surprised that her hair wasn't relaxed and then conditioned like crazy.

Of course her long time stylist is trying to launch his own line of hair care products so who knows how that all ties in with her new shorter look?
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
