QuoteReplyTopic: Protacs bad LG good HELP PLEASE! Posted: December 03 2006 at 5:48pm
I have finally tried protacs and LG and I am loving the LG but hating the protacs. The protacs are not sticking to my hair! Should I be setting the protacs with a flatiron once they are in? They slide down my hair after a day and are too low.

You can try using heat. Also be sure your hair is squeaky clean with no conditioners in it. Alas, some hair just doesn't seem to hold Protac whatever the person does to keep it in. Mine holds Protac okay. I wore it for months, but now only use LG and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I'll never go back to Protac--there's just too much on-going stickiness for me, both in my hair while wearing it and left on the wefts even after a good cleaning. LG holds for me in a much tighter, drier, smaller, more comfortable bond and is much easier for me to get off the wefts when I'm cleaning them for re-use.
Here's to the end of my BAD HAIR LIFE!

Wow, so I guess more people are just switching from pro-tacs to LG, pro-tacs you do have to be careful to be super super clean and really leave them in to let them set. I do like them, but I have had too many problems lately. I do like LG though.
it really is weird how things can be so different for different people, i wonder what it is about our hair (or what we are using on it) that makes one thing work for someone but not another....??
anyway, i feel just the opposite about protac, they stick well, come out easy, and clean up fast.....LG sticks well, but removal is too difficult for me because it sticks like super glue and i hated the mess (and that was just using it for a few top short pieces)

Im with you nursie, the protac are easier and far less mess. Same here with the LG. I like it though and would still be using it for complete installs but its messy to work with and removal is more work. The protac is far easier for me and lasts only slightly less time...so I stick with the protac
Pooks you definitely need to press the protacs in SUPER well, and use heat like Kristie said. Press them in over and over, when you think you've pressed enough...press some more!
And be sure your hair is clean and dry (no conditioner) and wait AT LEAST 24 hours before washing.
