I'm thinking of trying protac for my next install but want to have a color similar to a 27/33 mix.

Going for a bit of a lighter color...figure I can probably pull it off since I've gotten so tan.  I'm really a platinum blonde at heart but after many attempts I've resigned myself to the fact that it really doesn't look right on me...so sad...but I digress...  Cry

Since I can't create the blend myself like I usually would for fusion or shrinkies I was wondering if anyone else has tried using 2 different color wefts & how it came out.

Any thoughts or words of wisdom?

Thank you!

Yep I sure did.. Check out this link for pics of my RK "experiment".

I had 4 oz of 16" #1 color single drawn straight hair. #1 is a little too dark for me so I purchased 16" #8 to brighten the color a little.. Basically I used ball point needles and using a quilting style straight stitch I attached the #8 to the #1. I sealed the whole thing with my Extensions Plus wefts sealer afterwards. The finished result is that the #1 now has these nice peek-a-boo highlights. If I want a more dramatic look I could reverse the hair and the #8 will have #1 lowlights to it.. I think it came out pretty cool!

Thanks so much for sharing the pics!  Looks great.  I figured there's no way that someone hadn't tried this already.  LOL

I like how you pulled the color through for high or low lights.  I bet that would work really well especially at the top track to blend my own hair in...

Hi BB!
I use three different bohyme colors to obtain the color I want, I basically make double wefts with let's say a color 16 on top and 24 underneath. It makes cute highlights. Very easy. And I use Protac tooWink

It was pretty easy.. The next time I do this I will probably use small 1" pieces and alternate with two different colors.
