all a kit do is relax ur natural curls and or straightin out ur hair

its an chemical.. basically like a perm.. but dependin on which kit ur usin....

BIG what are you talkin, perms make your hair curlier, kits are mild relaxers, they straighten your hair slightly.  It lets you get looser curls.  And since waves are slightly straightened out curls, the mild relaxer we call kits helps us achieve the that goal in theory.. But it is a waste if ur curls arent super tight.  You apply it in several steps of creme to your head, these chemicals feel like they burn your scalp.  I tried it at the beginning of this summer.  It made my waves really smooth, almost unfeelable by touch, but very visible.  I didnt like it at all, I juz wanted to see if it was as bad as people say.  But Iv been told celebrities do some other sort of kitting involving hot iron, so Im not sure on that aspect
