QuoteReplyTopic: Help with black hair! Posted: January 06 2007 at 11:18am
Hey guys!
I was wondering if anyone knows the reason why Microlocks slip so much?! Is there any trick u use to stop this from happening? Also my hair color is 1B and I wanted to add some color to it to make it look funky but I don't know what to add so that it looks cute, sexy and funky at the same time.... I love that forrbiddin girls hair from myspace..... Any suggestions on something that would work with me? I included a pic so maybe you guys can shoot me some ideas!!

Maybe yours are slipping due to not washing your hair enough? Or conditioner? I think your hair would look awesome with some hot fuchsia streaks! (BTW I love the doggy eyes in the pic!)
I love hot pink and black together, sexy and dangerous!
the slipping may be caused by not getting enough natural hair in the ring, or by not getting them closed quite tight enough.
Im thinking some light bolden brown highlights would look gorgeous in your black hair. I fell in love with the Bohyme #1B/12 color when I special ordered some for a customer.
Yeah, I think like 613 or red would look awesome with your hair. So much looks good with black hair, I love it. If you have the type of lifestyle that works with it, you could always do hot pink or purple or some color.
I want to do it, but I don't think my bosses would dig it!!
i say red or burgandy. try about 4 or 5 of them like start right under your bangs and go under each layer like a fringe around your face to frame it to follow your layers.
I'm with tangles on that one!
And red is the way to go for that bit of "hot"!
Two reds would be great I think: a dark one and a real fiery one... .
That said I think you look funky and hot already with just your black hair...it adds a touch of mistery...
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.

WOW Thanks so much for all your help you guys!!!! I herd from someplace don't remember where....that your not supposed to was your extension hair that often. I wash it about twice a week.... I love red and I had tried it once but I feelt that it washed me out. Maybe I sholud try another shade...a bright red would be hot and I was also thinking od maybe a copper or a dark brown..... hmmmmm.. I do my own hair so once I have it complete with the highlights I shall post it! :P
My hair is microlinks in 909---1B---20 inches. I bought the hair from The Hair Shop on Wilshire. I also think they have a website called www.hairpiece.com.
Wow thanks I have about 3-4 bundles in there and each bundle is about 50 pieces.... You all are so sweet!! I want to try bonded wefts next then after that I want to do adhesive lined shrinkies! : P Can't wait!

With the bonded wefts, are you referring to the wefts hairpiece.com
sells that are pre-taped? Or the skin wefts they sell and applying your
own tape? I think you'll like using the tape since it's cheaper and
gives a lot more fullness but it doesn't feel as natural as the
individuals.
You can also re-use the hair with bonded wefts. I've used the 909 wefts
but I didn't like them because it didn't last!! It seems to go course
very quickly. I switched to bohyme which is definetly a step up from
909.
