QuoteReplyTopic: I'm tan and Brown haired.. what color should I do? Posted: February 09 2007 at 9:32am
I
need someone's advice, hopefully by today, because my hair
color/highlight (depends) appointment is tomorrow. I am tan skinned,
and have very dark brown eyes, and brown hair. I am thinking I would
like to go with something very different, but something that still
looks good. Since I have basically had the same hair my whole
life.
I have done super dark, (almost black) and with my tan that looks good,
but I'm going to a new stylist, because normally I ALWAYS get the same
boring "carmel" highlights.
But I want something that looks good and different. I attached a
few pictures the top one is the most recent, with lighter brown hair.
any suggestions on all over color, or highlighting would be
appreciated. I am even willing to go blonde!

WOW....what beautiful healthy hair you have, I don't think I'd want to change a thing, it looks perfect on you. As for other colours, I wouldn't be so keen on going totally black but who am I to judge....Personally, I wouldn't mess with lovely hair like you have. What ever you decide....Good Luck.

i certainly
appreciate the compliment! You are a sweetie! But the real problem is,
I don't think it is cut right at all.. but once I get that fixed
tomorrow, maybe just some drastic highlights would help. Also I
was thinking of maybe doing that two-tone look, or just doing my tips,
but I probably not that up to date on my style so I don't know.
Basically I think my husband is ready for a "new look" for me, I would
just like to surprise him with something different, certainly not Red
with my skin tone, and no perm or anything along those lines but
something.

How about a lovely victoria beckham style bob? I think that this style would really suit you providing the front sections were left long. If you want to alter the colour, I think that the colour that victoria has would suit you really well too. Have a look at this picture, it may help to explain what I mean.

I like the top picture best. I could see you with something funky -- that lighter brown you've got now with some really chunky blonde, maybe just in the front around your face or randomly in the middle ... or both. Or instead of the blonde, red. But I would bleach it blonde and then dye the blonde red (chunks). Really, I love it as it is too, but that's just my suggestion since you asked.

I agree you are beautiful and your hair looks so healthy! I think all over blonde may be too drastic, but Alayney makes a good suggestion of going red,or having some blonde highlights.
I hope you update us with pics!

I hope she didn't go blonde.Your dark hair is way too pretty to mess with.If that was my hair.I either would just put a few red highlights in it, or not color it at all.Very pretty girl all around!
