I'm just curious about everyones different, growth rate. Mine is about an half and inch to an inch.

Just wondering!

Depending on the amount of protein I take, how much sleep, how cold it is, my hair will vary in growth amounts from 3/4 of an inch in a month to over an inch. :)

Do hair and nails grow at the same rate? I mean can I measure how much my nails grow and have that be about how much  my hair grows?

I don't think so.  Hair's average growth rate is about 1/2 inch per month.  Sometimes faster, sometimes slower... depending on health, diet, genetics, etc.  I've never seen anyone whose nails grew that fast.

My fingernails are extremely soft and thin so I usually keep them fairly short.  Sometimes I glue on fake nails.  When those are on, the natural nails are protected and grow without breaking or splitting.  Judging by how they grow in that situation, I'd say the rate is about 2-3 mm per month is all.  Alot slower than my hair!

½" per month - like clockwork. I've never seen nails grow ½" per month! That's a lot!

Thnx guys, but I have another question for you:

Has any of you used or have been using HF37? I have heard so many success stories about it making peoples hair grow up to 1 1/2 inch per month! I think thats amazing!

If so could you tell me your story? Or how its been working for you.

Thank you!

Hehehe today is my birthday!!! HAPPY B-DAY TO ME!!! lol.

Jealous of you all! Tongue  Lucky you's...

My hair's "rate of accumulation" ( LOL ) is on par with Longhairdreams and AmandaPanda -- half inch per month, but that didn't stop mine from getting supa long, though! Wink

[Happy birthday BritBrat! Clap]

I haven't tried HF37, although I keeping reading rave reviews about it. I have been taking a multivitamin from my local health food store (called Life Force Multiple by Source Naturals) with additional supplements of biotin, MSM, and Omega-3. Also, just a couple of days ago, I incorporated Super Silica Plus, and pantothenic acid, and beleive it or not- I can already tell the difference! :)  I'm not really sure which "ONE" vitamin is working the best for me. I've just been reading that these are all good, so I decided to try them all out.  I also added a daily protein shake in the mornings, with 23g of whey protein per serving.  Since I've started taking the supplements and protein is when my rate increased from 3/4 inch to at least a whole inch per month. Hope some of this helps! :)

PS- My fingernails grow really fast too, but they did that even before I added any vitamins.

thank you all so much!

haleycake,
I will be sure to write those down and take them with me to the store with me. I am thinking of buying HF37 but I first have to talk to my doctor and get the ok that it wont interfear with my meds that I am taking currently. Though, I have bought the HF37 shampoo plus conditioner to see if that works.

Thanks again MWAH kisses : ))

Well I'm glad the shampoo and conditioner is working for you . I thought about just buying the shampoo and conditioner because the whole system is expensive for me .

yeah it is pretty expensive. Thats why i just bought the s & c so I could try it out, and I fuigured if it works then the vitamins must work. I wanted to try it out before I spent $100 on vitamins. I am definately buying them though! lol.

My husband's hair growth is insanely fast.I actually measured it the other day,and it has grown 5 and a half inches in 6 months! He doesnt have any secrets either. He eats junk food and drinks nothing but Dr. Pepper.

I'm pretty sure mine only grows the typical half inch a month, sometimes MAYBE 3/4 of an inch. My nails on the other hand grow like wild fire. I have to trim them at least once a week.

I have an extremely slow growth rate - probably about 1/4" per month. Every now and then, I can get a growth rate of 3/4" or 1" in a month, but that is rare. Some months my hair doesn't grow at all - it sort of stalls.
