i've read on this message board that prenatal vitamins are not good for you if you are not pregnant. i take prenatal that my obgyn gave me. they say for the child baring years. i've heard that the reason prenatal vitamins don't help the hair grow when not pregnant is a lot a prenatal vitamins do not have biotin. mine do plus omega 3.
Pre-natel vitamins can be good for you but they do contain a very high level of iron. As far as helping your hair grow, they usually do not. This belief comes because women who are pregnant carry 30% more blood through their bodies (which is also where the"glow" comes from). This will bring more nutrients and blood flow for their babies. A great side effect is that your scalp and nails also get these great nutrients, therefore you have faster hair growth and fabulas nails.
Its always good to take a good multi-vitamin, so these can be good if you need the extra iron.
Talk to your doctor about it more.
