QuoteReplyTopic: 100% Boar Bristle vs. Plastic Brushes Posted: April 11 2007 at 5:03pm
Does the type of bristles matter in getting waves. When i first started to wave, I was using a plastic bristle brush I had from when I was about 10 years old. Since then I've had a no name softy 100% boar bristle brush, and now another softy annie 2082 100% boar bristle brush. For a hard I use a no name plastic bristle brush. Does it matter if I use the plastic hard brush, or is a 100% boar bristle hard brush any better?

I use the plastic brushes when washing my hair because it digs in your scalp good. I have tons of name brand brushes but my favorite is a 2 sided AMI. Its a no name but it gets the job done. One side is hard and the other is soft.

i used to do that too, but since i got a trim, my hair is accustomed to the soft boar bristles. now when i use the hard plastic in the shower, it scrapes the hell outta my scalp! sh*ts almost painful so i stopped using it. so i guess we all agree that 100% boar bristles is the way to go over plastic brushes!?
