Ok, so I think I've got it narrowed down as to the type of hair I might get. But still tossed up between the 2 choices
1. Bohyme European Body
2. Bohyme Body Wave
Basically, I've got chin length, relatively heathy hair and I'm trying to grow out this funky cut. My hair tends to be straight up at the scalp but gets an ever so slight wave to it and the ends flip out in some places since it's still in that growing out stage. I want a wavy texture to blend it in since it helps to disguise it. So far Bohyme's Body Wave is looking pretty good in terms of the wave pattern. But I'm also eyeing up Bohyme's European Body.
From the research I've done, this is what I've gathered:
Body Wave: Asian so a little coarser, but I like the wave pattern and how it settles, and can be scrunched for those on the go days when I don't feel like flat ironing (this is why i can't do the Silky Straight right now, My flippy pieces, short hair, and this summer's humidity would just be too much work for me to keep flat)
European Body: Indian hair, and I've read some say that it's softer/more touchable because of that reason (which is the appeal to me). But I've also read that the wave washes out. But I haven't really seen enough photos of this hair to guess how it would behave. I mean, the wave washing out isn't that big of a deal to me, because a little styling can be tolerated if the hair is softer. But is it to the point of looking like the Silky Straight? Like pin straight?
Now, Bohyme's Soft Wave, seems like a good bridge between those 2, but my colors aren't all available. I'm looking at doing a mix of 27, 24, 30.
Any input on the Body Wave vs. the European Body (also known as Virgin Body)?
I've worn both textures and I like them both. Between the two, the virgin body is slightly finer. Both textures are essentially straight, with slight movement after washing.
Thank you Metalgirl. By the way, I checked your site (beautiful installs), what texture is Kimberly wearing? That looks just about like what I'm going for.

wow..I personally have the holy grail of hair in my FR Gold Bohyme! I am on my second install with the same batch of this hair and have colored it with special FX and curl it all the time. here are some updated pics after 10 weeks of wear ( second install on same hair)
Thanks Sherrie! I believe I bought some of this hair from you awhile back! I had to color some of it and use the lighter colors to create the Special Effects colors I put in --purple and very CHERRY! My shower is always purple and red from it fading but I love the funky colors. Its hard to see them from these pics though! I am afraid to try other hair since I have worn this! My hair is always a curly head of some kind of pink, red, purple or blue! Hahahaha... Once you go funky, its quite addictive!

I love the SFX colors on you! I'm a bit prone to funky red colors myself and I've heard great things about their colors. Glad to see the Bohyme holding up so well for ya!

Thanks ya'll!
My hair is installed with pinchbraids done by Heather at Black Cherry Salon in Atlanta. ( shameless plug for Heather, the hair master! woot-woot!)I absolutely LOVE pinchbraids. She is amazing with color combos too. I took a bunch of dark brown hair along with a bundle of hair I colored different shades of Special Effects and she blends them into custom colors as she puts it in! The woman is a genius! You cant see the brilliance of the colors in these picks though...but it is different shades of purple, blue, red, and burgundy. Sounds crazy but it turns out looking so cool!
Wow! I am really really jealous of your hair (and your abs!).
I love pinchbraids, too. So far, they stay in my hair the best and are really comfortable. I also don't worry about them showing like glue, shrinkies, etc because they are a prettier install method (IMO).
