Please share what shampoo/conditioner and styling products you all use.    PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE WHAT TYPE OF EXTENSION METHOD YOU HAVE! :) Thanks.

My routine has been prety much the same for all extsenion methods I've tried so far - wefted tapes and wefted LG, microlinks and tapes individually

i use whatever type of shampoo/conditioner i'm in the mood for - generally speaking thats either products for red colored hair or color treated hair and is always something mositurizing. I shampoo no more then 4times in aweek with or without extensions. I just don't put conditioner on the bonds and I'm alright.

styling I use pretty much the same as I do for my natural hair - just more of it. usually an anti-frizz serum followed up by straightening balm or curling gel depending on my mood. i also used a sunscreen and sheen sprays. - keeping all products away from bonds again.

Hey Boone, I have a sew in track. I use Loreal's Nature's Therapy. I love it.

Hi Malibu,

I saw that at Sally's last night. I stopped in to buy some Clairol Shimmer Lights. ;) Anyway, there were a couple of different types or the Nature's Therapy. Which one do you use? What is it comperable to? How is it on the extension hair?

Thanks for your replies! :)

This is the conditioner I use. It's thick and moisturizing.
The shampoo is fine, I just switch off in the shower with the poo.
I like this conditioner better than pureology hydrate, redken butter smooth,
and schwarzkopf bonacure moisture kick treatment

I also like this stuff they make

and also I use this stuff (it smells AMAZING)

and last but not least, I love this stuff

Awesome post. Thanks for all of the good info. :)

I have 3 wefts of Bohyme Hand Tied attached by Protac. I used to have sew ins, too, but I actually ended up getting some of that traction alopecia from it. The protac seems to do less "pulling" on my hair and I take them out every couple of weeks to let my hair breathe and then reposition the wefts so I don't constantly put stress on the same spots.

I'm sort of rotating shampoos and conditioners right now, but I tend to fall back on Frederik Fekkai Protein RX shampoo & Aveda Blue Malva or Deep Penetrating Conditioner. I don't really love either of these, though so I just thought I'd see what everyone else was using. Oh, I was using TIGI Dumb Blonde poo/conditioner and that seemed to really loosen up the Protac whenever I used it. :/

Anyway, I'd love to see what everyone else is using, too! If I have one vice, it's gotta be hair products. I can get a little crazy...hehe. :)

Oh, and for styling products I looove Fekkai's Beach Waves Spray (I actually have it on in my avatar...I had just sprayed some in and twisted my hair off to the side to set the wavy look).

I also like Jonathan Dirt to give my hair that "next day" texture after I wash it.

Also, Fekkai's Gossing Mist is really great for my fine hair and calms down any frazzled ends of the extension hair I might have. I'm sure there's drugstore equivalents to this, though. It's just a spray glosser. This one is just super light and works well on my fine hair.

That's about it! :)

Three products that I CAN NOT live without are Kerasilk Treatment Conditioner and the Kerasilk leave-in Instant Silk Fluid. ( both by Goldwell) After I shower and condition, I mix the Instant Silk Fluid with CHI's Silk Infusion serum and there is nothing better for silky hair IMO! For shampoo, I use ABBA.
I wear pinchbraids--22 inch Bohyme French Refined

I tend to switch around a lot with products but heres what I circulate:
Pureology Color care shampoo and cond.
Biolage moisturizing shampoo
Best conditioners I've found:
Biolage conditioning balm
Neutrogena Triple Moisture balm
Biotera color care intensive reconstructor
Sometimes the cheaper brands work as well as the expensive ones!
Still searching for a great leave in conditioner!
I have fusion with virgin russian so it's pretty silky naturally.

I purchased liter duos of Pureology's Nanoworks poo and cond for $90 off ebay. The investment has been more than worth it! I don't have an install yet, as I wanted to use the Nanoworks and see the effect it had on my natural hair first.  After a week of use, my hair feels thicker, softer/smoother, and overall healthier. (I'm a dark blonde with highlights...the typical overprocessed victim)  Plus, I LOVE the scent best of all Pureology products. Plus I only have to use a little, so these liters will last me a loooooong time.
Also, from Malibu's recommendation, I bought the Colorgen UV shine spray from Sally's. I love that stuff, smells delish, and doesn't make my hair flat like some others did.
Prior to using the Nanoworks, I had bought Organix Coconut Milk poo and cond. At Target they had rebates attached, so you'd try it for free ($6.99 back). It's sulfate-free, smells great (especially for summer cuz of the coconut, lol) and it did a great job.  I would still be using it, but the Nano came in the mail, so I jumped with that.

When I do my install, I'll be using the Tiffany Twist Tembond, with Dlux hair.
