Hello. I am new here. I am very interested in ordering some monoi oil and am wondering what are the most popular scents. What do you use and how are you using monoi oil?
I have very long blonde hair and really want to try this oil. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated:) Thanks everyone:)

It should answer most of your questions. If not, I`m sure those of us that have used it can offer our advice based on experience. My first would be "a little goes a long way." It took me some time to get used to using such a small amount.
I really like Monoi Oil for dry hair (I used olive and jojoba oils for years with good results and still use them on occasion in a recipe) and shine. A very nice product.
Wow, I cannot thank you enough for the pages that you referred me to. Very interesting!! I will be getting the monoi oil very soon....ordering it. I am thinking of either sandlewood or vanilla:) These scents seem to be the most recommended.
Are there any more sites that you can refer me to, so I can get more familiar with these oils and their uses?
Again, I thank you so very much!!!!!! Big hugs to you:)

I have blonde hair that`s below my shoulders and it`s very fine. I`ve been using monoi oil for about 6 months now. The vanilla is my favorite. What i`ve figured out is that the oil is too heavy for my daytime hair. A little does go a long way and it would be perfect for thick dry hair to smooth it out. So what I`ve been doing has been when I`ve planned on tying my hair back during the day I`ll put it on the ends from my ears down and just let it go. Otherwise I`ll put it on when I get home or right before I go to bed and just tie it back. It will leave your pillowcase with the vanilla smell but that`s fine with me. It`s really great for the skin too. I don`t wash my hands when I`m done and they just feel so much better. That`s all I can give to help you. I have seen my hair looking and feeling shinier and softer the next day after I shampoo. Hope this helps.

I know a woman that uses monoi oil as a light leave-in spray. It doesn`t weigh her hair down and leaves it soft and shiny. She also uses Essential Moisture from this site: http://www.goodthings4u.com/hair.html It doesn`t have monoi oil but other great conditioning oils and it works very well for her.
Frangipani Conditioning Hair and Scalp Ritual 30 mins Monoi oil has been used for centuries in Tahiti to soften the skin and hair of brides. After cleansing your hair you can enjoy a deep scalp massage for fifteen minutes using this precious ingredient to ease away scalp stress and give the hair a glossy and healthy shine. We leave the Tahitian Monoi Oil on the hair and scalp for fifteen minutes under a warmed towel. Hair will be style dried or set.
Sound good? ;)

How did she make the conditioning spray? I`m just concerned that it`ll weight my hair down. I don`t use a conditioner but a light weight leave in by Loreal Natures Therapy.

She uses sweet almond oil in a regular spray bottle. Nothing fancy and it doesn`t weigh her down at all. I recently tried some of the Nature`s Therapy Products (the Mega Moisture conditioner and shampoo) and really like them. You made a very good choice.
