Hello! Soon I will be completing my transformation from black to blonde, and seeing as I've never been blonde before, are there any products anyone can recommend to maintain it?

I'm sort of a dark honey blonde at the moment with platinum highlights, and use a toning conditioner (it's pruple-blue) as well as a treatment almost every time I wash my hair, which is about every 2-3 days.

Anyway, thanks in advance!

i use the john freida blonde line of products when my blonde highlights start to look dull. it brightens them up and leaves my hair pretty soft. i also just found this organic vanilla silk serum by organix. i put a little bit in my hair prior to blowdrying and it makes my hair so shiny and soft, not greasy. i'm not all the way blonde, just highlighted but i hope that helps!

I've been wondering about the john freida products! I love products that "brighten" blonde hair. Do you use just the shampoo and conditioner, or everything? Thanks laceydon.

I am bleached blonde too and use John Freida and Shimmer Lights. Here's  my regimen:

  • Once or twice a week, shampoo with John Frieda for champaigne blondes. Once every other week, I use Shimmer Lights shampoo.
  • Every other day, condition (not shampoo, just condition) with Shimmer lights OR John Frieda for champaigne blondes (depending on how much lift I need), then deep condition with a Biolage conditioner
  • After each shampoo or condition, while my hair is wet I rub Chi Silk Infusion into it and then style as usual

I plan to get the deep conditioning John Frieda champaigne blondes the next time. This time I got the daily, but it's not moisturizing enough, so I use the Biolage too, which is wonderful.

Hope this helps!

Shimmer lights is awesome! It takes out all the yellow/brassy/orangey tones in blonde hair. My hair is not quite bleach blonde(yet) but it just looks so much brighter and really makes my highlights stand out. I definitely recommend it.
