QuoteReplyTopic: Hair like this?? Posted: July 02 2002 at 11:22pm
1. Naturally I have shoulder length, layered, semi-thick, curly/wavy/frizzy hair, oh and it isnt fine or coarse...joy. I would like to grow it out and get it to look like (style wise, not color wise) Lindsay Lohan`s. Here are some links so you can see what I mean: http://llrocks.com/09.jpg ; http://llrocks/gallery.html
2. While I can straighten my hair I still have those little curly wisps around my hairline, how can I get rid of them?!?
3. Like I said, my hair is semi-thick how can I make it thinner, or at least make it appear to be thinner like in the pictures(I know, I`m weird)...
Thanks for all your help!!! Luv~Annie

I can`t really answer your questions. I have long curly hair, but I don`t straighten it. I tried before when it was short and it always came out fuzzy. Why not work with your natural hair instead of trying to get it to be straighter, thinner, etc.? Try www.naturallycurly.com There are lots of tips there.

I think I would have to agree with the last post. It is never wise to fight the natural texture of your hair. You would probably regret it forever. Work with what you have and I`ll bet you can look just beautiful. I would love to have long wavy, even frizzy hair. Find a stylist who can work with your natural texture and you`ll be much happier in the long run.

Coming from a gal with fine hair, I`d say the picture shows a gal with thick hair. So if you are going for that look, you don`t need to thin out your already thick hair. I have a friend who has hair like you describe. She has great sucess in smoothing it out with big rollers or blowdrying it straight. Her hair could look like that photo you posted if she worked at it. Personally, I`d love to trade hair with you both and have thick wavy hair!!! Funny how we`re never happy with what we`ve got!
As for the stray curly baby wisps, maybe there`s a hair product out there that you can apply and then smooth down with your fingers as you set the dryer on low?
