Hello all!
I just got GL extensions 5 days ago.  I had a perfect install, with a stylist who is very very good.
My concern is that I washed them with the GL products a day ago.  Used the anti-tap spray, and it has made my hair gummy and gross and frizzy.
Has anyone else had this problem?  My hair is a light blonde, a golden blonde, and a VERY light[bleached] blonde all three colors.
It seems the more I use the spray treatment that you are supposed to you as much as you'd like, the worse the hair gets.
Its like straw.
Any help would be really appreciated.  Im really bummed.  I usually use Bumble shampoo and Cond. [deep] and NO other products on my reg hair or these.  I dont like a lot of products.  I also let these dry with a diffuser and cool air.  They were gorgeous the first 7 hrs, and then went all to heck.
xoxoxcoxoxo,

through experience, you should try pantene, moisture shampoo and conditioner, and their hair serum, also dont use alot and dont wash hair atop your head keep in down and lightly wash hope this helps

Maybe try using a clarifying shampoo? I find i have to do this every once in a while because my hair starts to get tangly and it helps.

Google 'Moroccanoil' and find a shop that sells it.  It does wonders for dried out hair extensions.

It sounds like product build up but if you only just had then done then I'm sure your stylist will want to address the problem.

I agree. It sounds like you don't need to spray it every day, if that's what you're doing. Also, I'm not sure that I believe that the products that are suggested by extensionists FOR the hair extensions MUST be used. Yes, some are better than others, but I think they are just suggesting certain products, either because they get a bonus from doing so, or because they have personally found those products to work on the hair. There are a lot of good hair products out there. Play around with using very little or a little more. Don't give up!!!Smile
Love clip-ins and tape!

Thanks for all of the support and help!  I was afraid to try the oil, because I thought it would make the bonds slip.  She told me I could use the spray as many times as Id like a day, and I got carried away I think.  Also i am going to use my Bumble.  It turned my hair around faster than anything.  She said it was fine to use, but a lot of ppl like the GL stuff too.  It came with my extensions so I thought Id try it.
Ill order some of the oil today~  IM sure it will help tons.  Ive seen you all talking about it before, but I didnt know if you could use it on GL hair.

p.s. metal, your hair is gorgeous!

oh goodness! im so sorry this is happening to you! a friend of mine had a similar problem last summer & this is what we did:

-buy a bottle of mane-n-tail deep conditioner from sallys/walmart/cvs/walgreens or wherever
-get out a plastic shopping bag from the grocery store

seriously slather on the conditioner. you may even have to use 1/3 of the bottle or more! i know it sounds ridiculous, but it's really the only way to put a little life back into them. anyways, soak the hair from about an inch down from the attachments all the way to the ends with the conditioner, put the bag over the hair and completely cover like you would with a shower cap & clip or pin in place. watch your favorite soap opera or tv show or whatever you can for about 30-45 minutes. zap with a blowdryer all over [still with the bag on] until you can feel it a little warm & then take the bag off & rinse the hair IN FREEZING COLD WATER you might catch a cold, but the hair will be much better.

her hair was bleached and a little strawlike, but it turned out fine. it's like a hot oil treatment almost, but the mane-n-tail has hardly anything in it. it's mainly vitamins and only a few other ingredients. zero chemicals so it really doesnt do anything but fix the hair & restore the life to it.

let me know if you decide to try it or if you have any other questions

-laura
