So, after waiting 5 weeks (yes I really said 5 weeks, minus one day to be exact) for my hair from IndianHairExport.com I FINALLY got my skin wefts!!!!  So after drama with fusion and microlinks - I am trying this new method.  I am also going to a new stylist.  I read on here that most of you "sandwich" the wefts with the LG between them.  She advised me not to cause the weight of the hair could cause irritation.... thoughts anyone?  If they aren’t sandwiched wont they come out easily?

PS- I will take pics for you guys too, The hair better be worth it - I havent seen it yet but got the delivery confirmation, 5 weeks is ridiculous

Well, take a deep breath first...

Did you wash the curly hair yet to see how much the curl will drop?

The lighter hair can be toned to become more golden in color.  Maybe a toner like Redken Shades EQ in Vanilla Cream may do the trick.

It's a shame that these companies make us wait so long and then screw it up anyway.  I understand your frustration!

The hair industry is notorious for this kind of cr*p. They give the rest of us a bad name. Personally, I've been lied to, sent items that weren't even close to what I ordered, and ripped off for over $1,500.
I think Metal is right. Usually the curly hair like you were sent comes out really pretty after a wash.
I think you can make it work by using the Shades EQ.

OMG....so you ordered 2 identical skin wefts and you got 2 very different skin wefts? Ditto what metalgirl and mokipono have said, wash the hair and the two different skin wefts may look much more similar as far as texture. The different colors may even give you some nice highlight/lowlight blending, or you could do as metalgirl has suggested and use a toner.

Skybrie,
Just a thought: if you wash the hair, you may not be able to send it back for a refund or exchange. Most companies don't want their packages to be opened or washed if you want to exchange them.
I would contact the company, send them back the hair and try to get your money back, either from them, or paypal or your bank.
At this point I think I would just try to get my money back.

Well at this point I contacted them and sent pictures of the received product.  I am still waiting to hear their response and what their proposed resolution is.  Outside of them sending me the correct product overnight there is not much they can do to win me over.  The original timeframe I was given was 2 weeks.  And it took them 5 to send me the wrong product.  I already contacted my credit card company and they said I can submit a claim for fraudulent services and have the charge reversed.  But it was so hard for me to find blonde wavy skin wefts in the first place, I don’t know what to do.  I guess just wait to see what the company plans on doing to fix the situation, and either had the charge reversed or try a toner to equal out the colors.  I think if I get the light blonde more of a golden, even if it isn’t an exact match it will still look good.  Thanks guys for your advice!  And BEWARE when ordering from Indian Hair Export!

Oh, I'm really sorry you didn't get what you wanted! But, I have to say...that hair looks gorgeous! I wonder if you could still make it work. The other advice about washing it is perfect, because I think the curls would drop significantly. That timeframe is terrible, though. They should never make you wait that long & then have the nerve to send you the WRONG order. Almost laughable if it wasn't hair!Confused  I hope you can get what you need out of it or find some resolution.

Oh, I almost forgot: I would try the sandwich method either with LG inbetween the two skin wefts or just the two skin wefts perfectly fitted back-to-back (tape meeting tape). Look at the demo on HisandHer.com --- this is what I do and it does not budge! It is even more secure if you use LG in between but you don't have to.Tongue

I had a hard time with this company, but I love their hair I'm wearing it now, and it does last a long time!  I hope you come to a resolution, I waited a long time and then I complained so much she sent me free hair, so keep complaining!!!
