Sorry about that mess up thread! But anyways > > >
I heard that birth control pills can lead to hair loss. Has anyone else heard this? I heard the same thing about antibiotics too and I take one of those daily for my complexion. I'm trying to grow my hair out long so that kinda worried me.

I took a three-phase pill for many, many years (greater than 15 years) and my hair has always been thick, long and healthy--except when I used the blow dryer. The pill had no effect on my hair whatsoever.

In fact, I'm still on it and my hair continues to grow a healthy 1/2 inch per month.

I have heard it both ways: That it actually makes your hair thicker and that it makes your hair fall out. I have been on the pill most of my life (between pregnancies) and I haven't noticed any difference. I wouldn't worry too much. I think the way they are formulated now you don't have much to worry about.
