I recommend you do research and buy your hair supply from a reputable dealer.  Myy friend purchased hair online, and then went to her local salon and had them installed. they look beautiful! she has been gettin many random comments from people off the street telling her how beautiful her hair is. hope this helps

I would say the cheapest hair extensions method is clip-ins that you make yourself would be around $150 or so and other methods go up from there.

I found a girl here in California that will sew wefts for around $380 if you bring your own wefts or around $800 if you want her to supply the hair for you.

I'm going to try DIY extensions from manemaxx.com (wax bonding). I bought 4 oz russian hair that I will dye myself and then install myself too (hopefully I can enlist the help of a friend!). So far I've done a TON of research because it's a big commitment (financially, emotionally, physically) as to what type of extension method you choose and the tembond method looks to be the most gentle.... we'll see... hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have some reviews about it :) Wish me luck!
