Haven't seen all the photos, but the cover shot looks pulled back.
Based upon pix on Getty, it looks as though she got
extensions sometime in late February or early March. Bob
had grown out quite a bit but was still only to her shoulders.
By March, her hair was to mid-back. She still had the
extensions as of May 4.

I very much doubt that there was any significant cut. She's one of those who seem to feel more comfortable with long hair, and however many changes she makes, she always seems to eventually revert to some long, curly kind of style.
In the short term, I think all celebrities are not beyond using a change of hairstyle, a cut, a self- administered buzz, or whatever, to help them stay in the public eye when they begin to feel their popularity is on the wane.
