Hey all!

I'm new to the site so go easy on me!! I have always loved haircolor... Its probably been every color of the rainbow at some point in my life...literally! I've gone from brunette to blonde to red and back again many times... BUT.. for the past 2-3 years i've been steady blonde (using bleach) with a medium brown shade underneath.. (about from the ear down).. And i'm getting kind of tired of it.. the bleach, that is.  I want to stay blonde, but go a few shades darker.. maybe a level 7 or 8 warm blonde.  (I actually went to beauty school but its been a while so i need some help!)  Im not sure if i can just deposit color all over my head?? I have about 1/4 inch regrowth right now.. or if i can just use color to do my roots instead of bleach?? I'm really kinda lost- Ideally, I would like to be all one shade, level 7, and be able to throw in a few highlights to frame my face.  Any advice??!

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm not sure what your natural haircolor is (for your roots), but most people need bleach to get to blonde.  Highlift shades might work if your natural is dark blonde.  Anything from light brown to darker is going to still need bleach to get to level 7 or 8.  You will have to remove the brown dye from your dark layers before using dye over them (color won't lift color, so if you just use dye it won't lift it to blonde).  With so many different shades on your head, I'm not sure what the best course for you is, you can try to lift the brown using colorfix, but on the offchance that doesn't work, the easiest would probably be to go to a pro and let them handle it, then just do your own roots after that point.
