I really messed my hair up now!! I spent all this time bleaching it back to blonde it and it was pretty but not what I really wanted. My roots came in and I knew there's no way to bleach my hair again and to try and match my roots to my blonde hair cause it kinda looked like dark golden blonde mixed with light blonde. I decided it's better to just go back to brown for a year and grow all my breakage out. I used a semi medium warm brown from Sally's and it turned my roots very gold almost orange looking and the rest is very dull and still kinda blonde looking. It's very damaged and I just want it back to my natural color so I can grow this mess out. My brothers wedding is next month and I want it back to a normal color. Any suggestions on what I should do?? I know I can use a violet base for the gold but the rest of my hair is soooo dull looking I'm afraid it will turn gray!! I'm looking for a light/medium brown. And it has to be a semi cause my hair is pretty damaged right now. Sorry this was sooo long.If you'd like a pic of my hair I can take one. Thanks so much!!!

Hey Lisa, I would recommend you use a hair dye remover like Rusk Elim8 or ColorFix. it does not damage the hair; just shrinks the hair dye molecules so they wash out. After that, your hair will likely look brassy. Then, you can apply a semi-or demi-permanent light brown colour (go lighter than you think). Your roots will always go warm because the heat of your scalp and the peroxide will lift it up higher. In future, DO NOT apply dye to your whole head. Also, get into regular deep conditionings (protein and moisture) so your hair can hold on to the colour better and grow in healthy.
Love clip-ins and tape!
