QuoteReplyTopic: Getting married in 3 weeks- extensions tangled! Posted: July 28 2010 at 7:59pm
Hi All,
I need help selecting a new brand of extensions. A few weeks ago I went to Sally's and got their Satin Strands. I wanted to get them in anticipation of my wedding and make sure I liked them, etc. I spent $75 on this junky things, which at the time were lovely. I spent another $150 having them woven in and styled. I was so happy with the results.
Here we are maybe 6 shampoos later and I feel like the ends are jabbing into my back. After work, I immediately make a small braid or low pony tail to stop them from matting. These things can matt up in a matter of 5 minutes with just minimal movement. Today I bought some kind of wig silicone to keep them semi-flat. Honestly, I cannot imagine why Sally's would sell such a crappy product. Now I know why they are 100% non-returnable. It really should be against some law to deceive people like this! The 100% human hair thing is a big lie.
I am rough on my hair. I like to flat iron it and blow it out. I have natural curls/frizz, but I love to wear it straight. I need new extensions that will be awesome for the wedding and hold up to this kind of treatment. I will use whatever conditioners and products necessary. I would also like the extensions to be able to hold a light curl or have a little body (Note: satin strands also stinks on this level as well). One other thing- the flatter the strands to my head, the happier I will be. The top row of these strands stood out a little more than I would like at the scalp.
Can anyone suggest a brand/type that would fit the bill? I really don't want to go through this again to have it ruined in 2 weeks time. I was thinking of this one: http://www.ebonyline.com/bogobowa.html
