Here's my dilema. My natural hair color is medium brown. I've been coloring my hair for years, using Revlon Colorsilk #44 Medium Reddish Brown. I've always wanted auburn hair so, decided to get adventerous. I bought L'oreal Superior Preference #5MB Medium Auburn. When I first colored my hair, I was in love! It was exactly the color I'd always wanted...a rich, auburn(very similar to the color of Sharon Osbourne's). Well, to make a long story short, it lasted all of about 5 days. I did not use shampoo on it, only Pantene conditioner for color treated hair. This was 3 weeks ago and right now, its a reddish brown color which is OK but, no where near the original color I fell in love with.
I recently learned of protein hair filler and have purchased some from Sally's in red red. I'm thinking if I use the protein hair filler (do I use this before I apply the color or do I mix it in with my color?) as well as a plastic processing cap and instead of the conditioner that comes in the box of color, I thought of using an after color conditoner/Sealer, perhaps all these things will help my hair grab the color and last longer.
I have also discoverd Moroccan Oil shampoo & conditioner which I LOVE!
If anyone has auburn (color treated) hair and could give me some advice, I'd be very grateful

First off hun, u put the color red red color filler in with the dye u r using.I would put the color on the roots first then wait about 20 mins. Then pull the rest of the color onto the ends for about 5 mins. That way it won't
turn darker than the roots. The ends r damaged,so they take color faster.Well, I'm sure u already have done this coloring by now.
