Hey everyone I have kept my head razor shaved for a couple years now and since I've let it grow back this far its horrible just horrible, all poofy and frizzy and whatnot, I've tried gel and wax and neither does any good, it just won't do anything but look dumb! and poofy! So I am reaching out for any basic advice here...thanks

Hi. I'm not sure if it's just my computer, but the link you put down isn't working.

I bought some batteries, but they weren't included.

I don't know if this will solve your problem, but try washing and conditioning your hair with products that combat frizz. You might want to try John Freida's Frizz-Ease line - he makes shampoos, conditioners, and styling products, or KMS Flat Out Shampoo and Conditioner, or Loreal Vive Smooth Intense (with Nutrileum) shampoo and conditioner, or Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek. Then, when you've washed your hair I would recommend using something like Frizz-Ease Hair Serum (probably in Extra-Strength for Coarse/Extremely Frizzy Hair, it's Step 3 in the John Freida line). If you don't mind the cost, you can try using KMS Flat Out Relaxing Balm, which is great. All you have to do is squirt some in your hands and rub them together and then rub them through damp hair. You have to put the Frizz-Ease in soaking wet hair. I couldn't access your pic either, but I'm guessing you're a guy, and if you are, I was going to suggest you talk to your stylist about getting your hair relaxed but I don't know how long your hair has to be or if that would even be an option. Don't just goop on gel or pomade, etc., because it'll only make it look worse. Also, be careful about blow drying your hair because unless you're using the right products or your blowing your hair straight, it'll probably end up being a big poofy mess. Also, depending on how long your hair is, you might be able to use a straightening iron on it. It may seem overly feminine, but it might be a nice way to get smoother hair on those days when you're going out and need a more refined look. And not that this is the reason your hair is frizzy, but why don't you try rinsing your hair with cool water when your done with your shower or done wasing your hair. It will seal in the cuticle and give it a nice shine, which might make your frizz slightly less noticeable. I have to look for it, but I think Kerastase makes a product that's good for getting the frizz out. If I find out the name I'll post it. Hope any of my suggestions help.
