I had the pleasure of interviewing her celeb hairstylist about 2 years ago. She told me Rihanna gets very bored very quickly with her hair and is always pushing for new styles.
It makes sense she would go with wigs since she has done just about everything imaginable with her short hair.
I do like her as a redhead. It really seems to suit her.
On a side note I hope you are staying safe in your neck of the woods.

Thanks Karen. Yes, she seems like someone who gets bored with hairstyles easily. However, she's still young and I guess that might change--in the past she did have long hair for quite a long time.
Thanks for your concern Karen. Qatar is safe enough--though it seems Bahrain is becoming a little dangerous.
I liked Ri-Ri (as they supposedly call her) when she had the long hair. Her current hairstylist is the one I talked to and she is also the one who cut it all off. At first the bigwigs freaked out but decided to let her do it.
Apparently she was worried about being just like all the other long haired singers such as Beyonce who is supposedly her role model. Makes sense to me.
Her hairstylist was delightful. Very sassy personality and definitely strong minded. I think she's done a great job at guiding Rihanna through all her hair looks but would definitely love to see her go back to a longer style for a change.
Glad you are in safe location. News reports said that there is concern the troubles could spread throughout neighboring areas which was why I asked. Of course if you were in Wisconsin you might really be in some hot soup. :-)

Thanks Karen: I'm pretty safe in Qatar. Why, they even have the soccer World Cup coming in 2022! Unlike some other parts of the region, the present regime is pretty popular here. Of course, things can change.
Very interesting to hear about Rihanna's stylist. I'm not sure I really like the hot red as it makes a clear statement that the hair isn't her own (as long as she likes it I guess!)
As she's had these wigs for 6-9 months now, I still wonder if she's letting her own hair grow or maintaining a short style (similar to Toni Braxton, who seems to always keep short hair under the wigs). Of course, she's got a good point about not wanting to become a Beyonce look-a-like, but even these fun, eccentric styles begin to look a little tired after a while. I think she's big enough now not to worry about people thinking of her as a copy of anyone. She's reached a stage of celebrity where she can do what she wants with her hair and no one will object.
