The keratin bond, cylindrical or flat?

When working with keratin nail-tipped hair extensions I hate using my fingers to achieve a cylindrical shape. I rather prefer making a flat shape using a tool, kind of a thin fish scale.
What is your opinion about it?
What is best, cylindrical or flat?
I believe flat molding is more comfortable for head scalp.
I'll appreciate any comment.

I think there are different schools on this. I would contact the manufacturer of the bonds you're using to see how they were meant tobe used. I have seen flat bonds, but most of the time though, keratin bonds are rounder.

Manufacturer is a generic chinese factory, no brand. Keratin nails are standard

Well I'd say experiment with it, why not?
This is what DIY is all about, see what works for you. If you don't lose bonds fastet by making your bonds flatter, and it seems to suit you, following your own intuition.

I prefer the rolled bond simply because they are compact, there are no edges to irritate the scalp, hold better and less chance of sheading. I split my bonds so that they are smaller and make sure I checker board on the head. That way they are small, lie flat and and no overlaping. Ive been doing extensions for over 10 years and have never done the flat method. Most companies that do training dont use the flat method.
 
 I guess you have to experiment and see which one works best for you.
