So, this is a complicated question. I
have been coloring my hair myself a deep reddish color for a long time,
but now I'm living in a dorm and cannot color it here, so I am going out
have it colored. I'm looking for a red with a bit more kick..something
close to these: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Nx8r6-FDEn0/TT… http://2.media.haircrazy.info/photos/gal…
Will a salon be able to do this? My hair currently is a medium brown
(with some remnants of the old semi-perminant red box dye). It has been
about 2 months since I colored it last. Here it is..it is a bit more
faded now. Pd don't mind the deer...this is just the best pic of my hair
I could find lol. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-a…
Ps I am also getting this done at a beauty school and it looks like they
use redken products and I cannot find a redken color chart online for
the life of me. Will they have to bleach it and then color it, or will
the color just do it, or will they just not be able to get to that
level? Is there a redken color you know of that is pretty vibrant?
Thanks in advance.
I am not 100% sure on this, but to get a color that vibrant you are going to need lighter hair so it will take the color better. Usually you see these crazy hair colors on swatches in the store. Those swatches were white before the dye was applied, giving it the vibrant color you see. So they will probably bleach your hair to a blonde and then put red in it. The lighter you bleach to the brighter your hair will be.
