Bar Refaeli is the latest celeb to show a photo of herself in a much shorter haircut, only to reveal later it's a wig. I think Katherine McPhee did it and Jessica Simpson.

It's not nearly as fun for those who like short hair. The star posts the photo, fans are horrified, and the star says she was just kidding. If celebs want to keep their hair long, keep it long. Looks great. If they want to go short, go short. Some will love it. Some will hate it. Doing this creates negativity toward short hair. It's something so awful that celebs need to freak out their fans with it.

I don't see it as a way of getting attention.  I think it is kind of cool to see celebrities experiment with different looks!  BTW Michael1, I believe it was Demi Lovato that showed the wig, not Katherine McPhee...
