I'm wondering what the whole fascination is behind highlighting on your own using the kits that you can buy at drug stores and such. For example the L'Oreal Nice'n'Easy kit. Apparantly it's good and it has some brush thing that slids down your hair to apply highlights and such.
So does it beat professional coloring? What's the deal behind it? what are the pros and cons?
Thanks.

Fascination? Nah, people are just too poor to afford salon treatments, or don't trust salon people, so they do it themselves. Disasters often ensue, especially where home highlights are concerned :-P .
More awesome than a manatee!

Maybe pple enjoy the idea of experimenting w/ their hair w/ these highlighting kits but if u know wht ur doing and ur prepared and stuff then its cool to use these. But most pple woh fall prey to the myths of haircoloring and are afraid of the misconception that coloring and highlighting makes hair fall out and make pple go bald then going to salon is the best way to do it. For instance, have u seen the new hi-light styliste by loreal on the market? They make it so tempting to attract pple to use their hi lgiht product lol, i considered using it for a while but i change my mind becuz i might change my hair from red to blond later and i wanna avoid any complications.
