Do you mix hair color line brands ever? Whether you're a pro colorists or a DIYer, do you buy a variety of color lines but then mix and match? Or is that a no-no?
A friend of mine who is a haircolorist said that she didn't use to mix and match at the beginning but now she would have a lot of different color lines laying around and didn't want to use throw them away.
I think it comes down to if there are very different ingredients in the different color lines, that can interact in a bad way. But do a strand test and see how it'll turn out.
Also you should keep in mind that certain developers can be mixed with different hair color brands. But I think there is a certain upside to experimenting. Different brands carry colors that you might not can find in just one brand.
